Why an Electric Toothbrush?
Until few years, ago I honesty believed that a manual brush was as good as an electronic brush for removing plaque. I recommended electric brushes only to the physically challenged, for seniors, those with arthritis, for teens with orthodontic bands and for the patients whose homecare skills seemed hopeless. Then, I and my employees started using electric tooth brushes ourselves. Now we are all converts to high tech tooth care! There is no doubt that, no matter how carefully I brush by hand, the electric brush removes more plaque and stain. Similarly, my patients who have started using electric tooth brushes routinely have consistently come back with cleaner teeth and healthier gums.
