Until few years, ago I honesty believed that a manual brush was as good as an electronic brush for removing plaque. I recommended electric brushes only to the physically challenged, for seniors, those with arthritis, for teens with orthodontic bands and for the patients whose homecare skills seemed hopeless. Then, I and my employees started using electric tooth brushes ourselves. Now we are all converts to high tech tooth care! There is no doubt that, no matter how carefully I brush by hand, the electric brush removes more plaque and stain.
